Shri Vivek Kamat, Shri Kunal Upadhay, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Prof Raghuveer Vernekar and Shri Kautsubh Priolkar could not attend the meeting and were granted leave of absence. Thereafter, the Chairman welcomed the members of the State Innovation Council for the meeting.

At the outset, the Minutes of the meeting held on 02 May 2018 were read and confirmed after which the plan of Orientation Programme was discussed. The venues were finalized as Sanskruti Bhavan, Department of Arts & Culture on 8th August 2018 for North Goa Programme and as Ravindrabhavan, Margao on 9th August 2018 for South Goa Programme. The objective of the orientation programme is to train and guide the Science teachers on Innovation, Creativity and Startups. Shri Jose Manuel Noronha was requested to be the keynote speaker. The schedule and topics conducted during the Bootcamps were discussed during the meeting. A basic survey detailing the interest for entrepreneurship amongst the attendees was undertaken and it was observed that one thousand and forty one students were interested in entrepreneurship from the total number of one thousand nine hundred and thirty seven students from twenty colleges.

The Project Officer presented the features of Goa State Innovation Council website and the Virtual Innovation Register and also explained the process of registering New Ideas, Existing Startups and Stakeholders on the platform. It was also decided to empanel IP facilitator to support Intellectual Property as envisaged by the council.

The proposed Faculty Development Programme scheduled for 17th, 18th, 24th & 25th August 2018 at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus was discussed. Dr. Mridula Goel presented the format of the programme. It was suggested to send an invite to all the colleges to nominate faculties from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Goa.

Shri D S Prashant presented the details on TIMEIS -Idea to Investment Entrepreneurship Workshop scheduled on 10th August 2018 at Hotel Marriott, Goa and it was decided that Goa State Innovation Council would support in conducting the programme.
